Doosan Babcock secures HRSG integrity management contract at Kuwait power station

In collaboration with Alghanim International, Doosan Babcock has been awarded a key HRSG inspection and integrity management contract at the Az Zour South Power and Water Distillation Station, owned and operated by the Ministry of Electricity and Water, approximately 100km south of Kuwait City.

Doosan Babcock now employs more than 1,200 people in the region to provide aftermarket services for customers across a range of industrial sectors, including power generation, water treatment, oil, gas and petrochemical, and marine. The company’s specialist products and services help operators maximise return on investment by reducing plant downtime and increasing availability, as well as extending the life of plant.

The growth of Doosan Babcock’s business is also being fuelled by its strategic approach to building alliances with well-established and respected local companies. The contract at Az Zour is a result of its developing relationship with Alghanim International, the major contractor in the Kuwaiti oil and gas and power sectors

This important contract gives the company a platform from which to further demonstrate its skills and capabilities to the Kuwaiti market, which in turn will open up other potential asset management, refurbishment and maintenance contracts in the region.
