The Grati project represents the first time Doosan Škoda Power has supplied a turbine in Indonesia, although it will be the second time it has worked with Lotte Engineering and Construction, following their collaboration on the Al Qatrana project in Jordan.
Doosan Škoda Power’s role at Grati will be to supply a steam turbine with a modern double-body design plus accessories, as well as overseeing the commissioning of a generator supplied by another manufacturer and providing training for the power station's employees.
The owner of the Grati power station and investor in the project is Indonesian state-owned power company PT PLN Persero, who will also be a consumer of the electricity produced. The total capacity of the power station, including the output of gas turbines, will be 501 MW.
